Over 785 million people around the globe lack access to basic water services. Contaminated water and poor sanitation increase the risk of diseases that can result in death such as cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid and polio.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 122 million people are collecting untreated surface water from lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams; over 368 million people take water from unprotected wells and springs.
Make an impact with us! Learn how you can help change the lives of those living in communities where access to safe water and proper sanitation does not exist.
