Our goal is that completed projects continue providing benefits over time without outside assistance.
In February, WEFTA volunteers Fr. Roberto Cumberland, Greg Branch, and Tim Wellman traveled to Panama to check in on ongoing, proposed, and completed projects. The team attended community meetings, water system inaugurations, and committee discussions. Their journey included visits with nine communities in the Comarca Ngäbe-Bugle on the Chiriquí side of Panama, as well as Ngäbe communities in the Bocas del Toro region.
WEFTA volunteers ensure that the systems constructed are sustainable from a technical, environmental, social, managerial, and financial point of view.
